For three days I went on a trip to the islands of Koh Chang and Koh Kood in Trat Province. The trip was organized by TBEX. They will be having a conference for travel bloggers in October 2015. Bangkok has been chosen for their first conference in Asia. The following pictures were posted live during the trip.
Date of trip: 23-25 March 2015
DAY ONE: Good morning from Suvarnabhumi Airport. Today I’m flying Bangkok Airways PH301 to Trat. Flight time is 1 hour.
Van transfer from Trat airport to the pier is 300B & to resorts on Koh Chang is 500B/person.
Trat Airport to Thammachat Pier is only 15 minutes. Now we’re in the queue for the car ferry.
Journey time on the car ferry to Koh Chang is about 40 minutes. You can buy snacks onboard.
Eating lunch at Salakphet Seafood and Resort restaurant on Koh Chang.
Our first stop on Koh Chang was Salakkok fishing village which has a large mangrove forest.
In Salakkok on Koh Chang you can go kayaking for 200B/hour or go on a gondola for 300B/40 minutes.
We went on the “gondola” ride in the mangroves in Salakkok. I enjoyed it but at 300B/person I felt it was expensive.
Tonight I’m staying at Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway.

DAY TWO: Good morning from Koh Chang. The sky is overcast with a chance of rain later.

Everything looks so much better when the sun comes out & the blue sky returns.
Time to leave Koh Kood. Too short to see much so I’ll be back for sure.
