Samut Prakan is located at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River. The town is only 25 kms. south of Bangkok and easily frequented by bus. Its old community settled in Phra Pradaeng (now a northern district) during the Ayutthaya Period. The modern town and several fortresses, were built by the command of King Rama ll in 1819.
Nakhon Pathom is 56 kilometres west of Bangkok. It is administratively divided into 6 districts (Amphoes): Muang Nakon Pathom, Nakhon Chaisi, Sam Phran, Bang Len, Kampheang Saen, Don Tum, and 1 sub-district: King Amphoe Phutthamonthon.

Surin Elephant Village (หมู่บ้านช้างจังหวัดสุรินทร์) is located in Ban Ta Klang. These villagers are descendants of the Suay or Kuay Ethnic group, who have a long history elephant husbandry.
