Its a great thing on paper to try and connect different districts by cycle/ walk paths! Looking back at this a few years later its all the same wit the exception of most stainless steel bars on the crossing being cut out and sold to the latest taker, all night fittings and lights gone... I still enjoy this path so much as you truly can get an insight on how all the real Bangkok is tucked in between big condo's. Precaution though! Don't try this at night unless you speak thai. Lots of kids hang out at night and wanting more than just the high 5!
TIP: Try to get INTO (not cycle pass it) the Tobacco plant and ask the guides to open some warehouse gates.. You can see all the old machinery that once served the nation with tobacco.

To be honest I am not sure. I will have to go there again. It is in an area that is really worth exploring more. Lot's of hidden treasures.

Thanks for the heads up. I did notice that you did not have a picture of the Fort, which is very near. I've seen it while riding on the Chao Phraya River Boats [<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Latkrabang,+bangkok&hl=en&ll=13.742058,100.490948&spn=0.001509,0.002411&sll=13.770065,100.689011&sspn=0.096535,0.154324&hq=Latkrabang,&hnear=Bangkok,+Thailand&t=h&fll=13.742032,100.491192&fspn=0.001509,0.002411&z=19" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">MAP</a>].

Is it accessible to the public?

Thanks

Thanks Gordon for the tip. I didn't do it that way as there is already a map on the page. The idea was for people to have the GPS coordinates to enter into their device. I am presuming not everyone has smartphones. But, you are right, a link in addition would probably be useful. Maybe I will re-arrange it so that the list of GPS coordinates go at the bottom of the page and not in the article.

hi Richard

Just FYI you can do google map links of this form

http://maps.google.com/?q=13.739858801812,100.49352021098

instead of (A – 13.738408312462, 100.49729174603). Might be neater, certainly easier to read

Cheers

Richard, very impressive what you accomplished during your visit to Phuket. Especially Phuket Old Town is very nice and not very noticed by the tourist.

Hi Richard

Just got a job in Nakhon Pathom teaching at Silpakorn uni. Moved into a flat yesterday and bought a motorbike today, so your map is really useful! I set out to find big c or lotus this evening but couldn't find either so had to make do with the tesco/lotus express near where I live. Your map should help me greatly.

Cheers

How nice is was to read your article about that park. I used to go often to Chatuchak market and did not know there was such a park. I hope everything is fine with you, and the family.
Regards, Henriette (Berlitz)

You probably should check out some places like IT malls. Maybe Fortune Tower or Panthip Plaza can help you.

I have a number of 8mm movies about Thailand and other places about 30 years ago. I would like to have them copied to DVD. Is there any company who could do this? Thank you! Wilhelm
